Pinto Valley has successfully demonstrated positive economics by applying the novel patented Jetti Catalytic Leach Technology to existing dump leach operations. The plan is to increase copper cathode production to 300-350 million pounds from residual and high-grade waste over the next two decades, thereby generating strong cash flow from the mine’s underutilized SX-EW plant, which is currently operating at only 20% capacity.
In addition, the PV4 prefeasibility study currently underway aims to maximize the conversion of approximately one billion tonnes of mineral resources to mineral reserves, significantly extending Pinto Valley’s mine life and increasing its copper production profile through the expansion of the use of Jetti’s technology and other projects such as Pyrite Agglomeration and Coarse Particle Flotation.
