Capstone Mining Corp. was ranked as the fastest growing company in British Columbia, Canada with a 78,476% increase from 2006 -- 2010.

Canadian Deal Makers Awards

Capstone Mining Corp. was the winner of the 2011 Canadian Deal Makers Awards in the Mining Industry for the acquisition of Far West Mining Ltd. and its Santo Domingo project in Chile. Capstone entered into a strategic partnership with Korea Resources Corporation, who acquired 30% ownership in the project.

Territorial Mine Rescue Competition, Yellowknife, 2011 & 2012

In 2011, The Capstone Minto Mine Rescue Team achieved first place in the rope rescue category and took home second place in the first aid category. The team achieved further success in 2012, finishing in first place in the practical bench category and second in three other categories including; First Aid, Search in Smoke and Surface Obstacle/Extrication. The achievements mark the only two times the Territorial Mine Rescue trophy has left the Northwest Territory in the past 55 years.

This award recognizes our Minto Mine for reported one year without a workday incident.

Social Responsible Company Certification, 2012

The Social Responsible Company Certification from the Mexican Philanthropic Center (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía - "CEMEFI") is given to companies that comply with the social, economic and environmental standards established by CEMEFI. These are based on values, organizational culture, ethics, and morality.


Family-Responsible Company Accolade, 2012

The Family-Responsible Company accolade developed by the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social) recognizes a company that in addition to achieving its business objectives; brings benefits to its partners, suppliers, families of its workers, and environment. It promotes good practices such as gender equality, prevention against labor violence and sexual harassment, as well as actions and policies to encourage workers meet their family responsibilities.


Clean Industry Certification, 2011

Clean Industry Certification from Mexico's Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente or PROFEPA) is a voluntary environmental audit that certifies full compliance with Mexican federal environmental laws.
