Strategies
 

  • Expansion of the Cozamin and Minto Mines
    Capstone's continued focus on exploration has yielded great results with Cozamin Mine mill throughput tripled in four years, and the recent discovery of the Footwall Zone. Building on our exploration success, our discovery of ten deposits in six years at Minto Mine, has increased our mineral resources, more than doubled the mill throughput and has extended the mine life. We aim to continue ongoing exploration programs at both mines

  • New Mines
    Through its 70% ownership of the large scale Santo Domingo copper-iron-gold development project in Chile in partnership with Korea Resources Corp. and 100% owned Kutcho development, Capstone has the potential to boost its production by developing a third and fourth mine.

  • Mergers and Acquisitions
    Capstone has a strong balance sheet with growing capital and low debt, that could support a merger or acquisition of a mine or company that is in production. We are focused preferentially on copper assets located in the Americas in a safe and economically, politically and socially stable environment.

  • Strong portfolio through investments and market opportunities
    Capstone will occasionally look to opportunistically strengthen the company's position and increase our portfolio exposure to other metals through investments.

  • Focus on efficiency and effectiveness
    We continually strive to improve our effectiveness and efficiency, so we not only meet our goals, but continually look for ways to improve on what we do.

  • Safety
    Capstone's goal is that every one of its workers returns home safely every day. Capstone has policies and procedures, training programs and enforcement designed to ensure this objective is met.
